Children & Young People Resources Local groups Events Videos Shop Support & Advice Children & Young People Online meetings for young people with alopecia We know that meeting others with alopecia can play a huge part in someone’s alopecia journey. Not only can it provide a wealth of peer support and advice, help people feel less alone and understand their feelings are perfectly normal, it also helps reduce anxiety and build confidence. In order to support young people with their alopecia journey, we facilitate online meetings via Zoom that provides a unique opportunity for young people to meet others with alopecia in a safe, supportive and informative online space. Who are these meetings suitable for? These meetings are for young people with alopecia ages 13-18. These meetings are only open to those in the UK. For online meetings for others: children with alopecia up to age 12 - please see here adults age 18 and over - please see here parents of children and young people with alopecia - please see here Who will host the meeting? The meetings will be facilitated by an Alopecia UK staff member, along with 1-2 other volunteers. The discussion and topics will be guided and hosted by other young people with alopecia - the members of our Youth Voice Board. Find out more about the Youth Voice Board here.
