In April of 2021 some wonderful children joined us for an animation workshop with the Young Animators Club.

As a group we worked on creating something that tackled situations where you may get asked about your alopecia. We decided there were three ways we could respond:

Explaining: ‘I have alopecia, a condition that makes your hair fall out’

Reassuring: ‘Don’t worry, I’m still me and you can’t catch it!’

Changing the subject: ‘I can still play so shall we go to the park?’

In this short video, the children share their drawings and ideas of what you could say if someone asks about your alopecia.
