About us Staff Team Anne Maton About Anne Anne joined Alopecia UK in June 2026 as Senior Fundraising Manager. She lives on the South Coast of England in the New Forest with her husband and their rescue cat, Chia. When not working, Anne can be found in her garden, crafting, or travelling with her husband - southern Africa being their happy place. Anne's Background Anne has spent most of her working career within the charity sector, including 18 years at the RNLI. She has held a wide variety of fundraising roles and is passionate about helping to ensure that charities meet the needs of the people they serve. Anne at Alopecia UK Anne leads our fundraising activities, building relationships with our donors and partners, to ensure Alopecia UK has the resources it needs to support more people affected by alopecia across the UK. Anne’s work is focused on the charity's long-term sustainability by exploring ways to diversify Alopecia UK’s fundraising income. Why Alopecia UK "My mum has had alopecia universalis for 35+ years. There was little or no support for her when she suddenly lost her hair, and no signposting to information and help. I remember how devastated she was and how her confidence was knocked; she really struggled for a long time about being seen in public, at work or socially, and got upset by people's thoughtless comments. I watched my strong, independent, talented mum lose her confidence for a while. I was incredibly excited when Alopecia UK sought a fundraiser; it brings together my experience and allows me to support an organisation that helps so many people who feel like my mum did." Anne's Favourite Inspirational Quote "Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." (Oscar Wilde) Manage Cookie Preferences
