“From the age of 6 I experienced small & large patches throughout my childhood and teenage years until I turned 19, when I decided to shave my head completely. In my early 20s, Alopecia Totalis and Universalis shortly followed, which has remained until today.

Throughout my teenage years I tried to find answers and, of course, a cure, but I learned very quickly there were too many unknowns out of my control. So I decided to focus my energy on the one thing that I could control, which was how I choose to respond to living with alopecia - it wasn’t going to define me, but it would give me a head start as I stood out from the crowd.

Alopecia has helped shape me positively, so I would love to share my experiences with others living with alopecia. In particular, children and young adults who are at a point in their lives where the right mindset is critical to their future development. Helping them realise they’re not alone, but show how alopecia can in fact be a brilliant tool to better shape their character in years to come."
