With our beautiful little girl recently being diagnosed with Alopecia Areata I thought this would be a great way to raise awareness.

I am running the Sydney Marathon to raise funds for Alopecia UK
I am running this years GNR for Alopecia UK. This will be the second time running this event for this amazing charity, as they have been really supportive throughout our journey with our daughter Lenas alopecia.
I am fundraising for Alopecia UK because it is a charity very close to my heart. Living with alopecia has shown me first-hand the emotional and personal impact it can have, and I want to help raise awareness, support others going through the same journey, and contribute towards the amazing work Alopecia UK does for those affected.
I’m running a half marathon for Alopecia UK because this journey is bigger than just me. Losing my hair taught me how deeply identity, confidence, and community are connected—and how isolating it can feel without the right support. Alopecia UK provides that lifeline: raising awareness, funding research, and helping people feel seen, understood, and less alone. This run is my way of giving back, starting conversations, and turning something that once felt so personal into something that can help.
I am fundraising for Alopecia UK because it’s a charity doing a great cause for a lot of people around the UK.
My mum experienced alopecia, so it’s something that is really personal to me. Seeing how hair loss can affect someone’s confidence and wellbeing made me want to support a charity that helps people understand the condition, access support, and feel less alone. I want to support others as seeing what mum went through. By running this half marathon, I’m hoping to raise awareness and funds to help others going through the same experience (this is private to my mum so I don’t want this to be shared)
I am running the Great North Run half marathon to raise money for Alopecia UK
We are raising money for Alopecia UK and Little Lady Locks, these charities are both close to our hearts for personal reasons.
I am running my first marathon to support Alopecia UK
I am fundraising for Alopecia UK because this charity gave my family much-needed information and advice, and this is a sorely under-researched area.
Me and my dad are participating in the Chesterfield 10k to raise money and awareness for Alopecia UK.
I am so delighted to be running my first ever marathon for Alopecia UK, a charity that has been such a support to me and my family since my son Fin, 13, developed alopecia 18 months ago.
I am running London Marathon for Alopecia UK
I’m fundraising for Alopecia UK to help raise awareness and support for people affected by alopecia. I was diagnosed with alopecia areata when I was 12, so this cause is very personal to me. Alopecia UK provides vital information, community, and emotional support to those going through what I experienced, and I want to give back by helping them continue their amazing work.
