Join Alopecia UK for a weekend residential trip to the Kingswood Activity Centre in Dearne Valley, South Yorkshire! 

This will be our fourth trip to the Kingswood Activity Centre! See all our wonderful photos from our previous visits here. 

This event is most suitable for children with alopecia aged 7*-17 and their families.

*This age limit is set because not all activities are suitable for very small children (e.g. those under the age of 7).
Children under the age of 7 (including siblings) may be able to attend but please note they may not be able to take part in the full weekend depending on the activities allocated. If you would like to discuss this further please contact our Events Manager on [email protected] or 0800 101 7025.

At the Kingswood centre children and their families are able to spend the weekend meeting others who understand their journey, building confidence, making new friends and having lots of fun! 

In family groups, you will stay in either the 'Eco Pods' or the 'Adventure Lodges' and take part in a timetable of activities.

Please read before booking:

Spaces are only open to those in the UK. Each booking must include someone who has alopecia aged 7-17 as one of the attendees. Please note that some activities are not suitable for those under the age of 7. (Please see FAQs for more details on this.)

To secure your place you will be required to pay a £50 non-refundable deposit.  You will be required to pay in full by 12th July 2024. Refunds are outlined in our terms and conditions. Any refunds are subject to processing fees.  A full price breakdown can be found on the ‘accommodation options’ link above.  Please take some time to understand the different accommodation options (and prices) before submitting your booking below. Note that the full price includes your group’s accommodation for two nights, activities and meals. The booking options below will only ask for the £50 non-refundable deposit not the full cost amount.

Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.  If the event sells out we will create a waiting list should we have any cancellations.

Ticket sales will close Friday 5th July 2024 at 9 AM. This includes any merchandise sales.  There will be a small merchandise supply available to purchase at the event but we cannot guarantee size/style available.  Tickets and merchandise are subject to availability and Alopecia UK retains the right to close sales earlier than the advertised date.
