As you tuck into our chocolate eggs this weekend, we ask 'Can you give a little 'eggstra' to AUK?'

This is your reminder that Alopecia UK is a small charity that relies on the donations and fundraising from our wonderful community to continue the work we do.

Perhaps you could afford to donate the cost of a small bag of chocolate eggs (£1.50), a box of regular eggs (£2.15-£4.50) or a bigger chocolate egg (the most expensive on in Asda was £12 but if you're feeling really generous you could look up the cost of an egg from Harrods or Fortnum & Mason!)

Any little 'eggstra' you could send our way, we promise you that it will be hugely appreciated, and will help us to continue all the work we do under our aims of Support, Awareness and Research.

Alopecia UK supports thousands of people each year via our website, online groups, face-to-face groups, events, private Facebook groups, newsletters, printed resources, social media, school’s pack, children’s story booklets, and more.

We raise awareness of the impact of alopecia with the public, and medical professionals. We explain about the psychosocial challenges of living with alopecia, and at the same time we show people affected that they can live well with alopecia.

We advocate for fairer treatment pathways, being key players in the appraisal processes with NICE and SMC. Alopecia UK also funds research into the causes of alopecia, with the aim of finding treatments, and ultimately, a cure. We do all this, and more.

If you believe our work is valuable, please give a little 'eggstra' to keep us doing what we do. We are not 'yolking around' when we say that we cannot do what we do without the support of our 'eggscellent' community.

If you want to be a particularly good egg, you could consider making your donation a regular monthly gift.

Thank you for your 'cracking' support!
