Welcome to the Jersey group. We meet monthly to connect with other people affected by alopecia. Connecting with others suffering from Alopecia as so many benefits, you do not have to suffer alone. No matter where you are in your own Alopecia journey, I would love to hear from you."

What happens at the group?

At our monthly meetings we alternate between informal meetings and guest speakers I invite along to give short talks or workshops on subjects relating to alopecia. We sometimes pick a theme or a subject that may be helpful or we may just chat. Our guest speakers will generally be linked to helping us learn more about how to ‘live well’ with alopecia. To date we have had GPs, wellness practitioners, wig suppliers, tricholoigsts and counsellors.

Elena's link with alopecia:

"I have had Alopecia on and off for the last 20 years, having experienced full, rapid and total hair loss twice, full regrowth once and everything else in-between! I have also experienced lots of different emotions connected to my hair, ranging from despair to full acceptance. My Alopecia has to live with me and my lifestyle now and I try not to let it prevent me from being me. I set up our local group so that I could encourage others on their own Alopecia journey and to act as a local point of contact in terms of where else you can go for practical help.
