We are looking forward to adding a Children and Young Person specific event to our Big Weekend.  Please see below for some information and guidelines about Children and Teens in relation to each event.  Please note that we may add to this over the coming months.

General Notes

There will be no 'on the door' Children tickets available.  They must all be purchased online by 20th September.  This is to help with our planning.

Children tickets are more limited than adults and we may have to close ticket sales if numbers get too high.  This is mostly because we will only have the staff/volunteer resource for a certain amount of children.

Ideally we would like as many of these tickets as possible to go to children with alopecia.  But we appreciate that a lot of people have more than one child and it isn't always easy to find babysitters!

Friday Night

We do not have a child ticket available for the Friday night.  The reason for this is that is it designed more with adults in mind.

If you wish to bring children and teenagers you can purchase a ticket for them.  But please be aware that an event like this can be quite overwhelming for Children and Teens.  While we will have the resource specifically for Children and Teens on the Saturday Daytime to help deal with this we will not have this in place for the Friday Night.

If you do decide to buy a ticket please note that anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/carer at all times at this event.

Saturday Daytime

Please note that anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent/carer also attending the event and they must be within the building and contactable at all times.

The Children and Teens event is still in development but you can see the current details at the bottom of this page.

All attendees will need a ticket, i.e. Children must be registered with tickets and Parents/Carers must also have their own 'Adult' tickets.

This is the only part of the event where you are able to leave your child/children in our care (you may also stay with them if you wish).

If children wish to leave they must be collected by Parents.

Please note that this event will mostly be staffed by volunteers.  If your child has additional needs that mean they need more care than typical staff:children ratios would allow, you will need to provide a one to one carer (whether that be yourself or someone else).

We welcome families at our event and we appreciate that a child with alopecia may like to bring a sibling or a friend with them for support.  We appreciate that it can also benefit siblings/friends as well to be a part of the event.  But please be mindful that we do have a limited capacity in catering to children (mainly staff:children ratio wise) and that we want as many children with alopecia to benefit as possible.  As such please do try to limit the amount of children tickets that you need (if you have a lot of children).  We appreciate this is easier said than done!

Saturday Night

Please note that anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/carer at all times at this event.
