Become an Online Kids Activity Group Leader (Volunteer Role)

Do you enjoy bringing energy, creativity and fun to children’s activities? We’re looking for an upbeat and confident volunteer to join our friendly online team of Kids Activity Group Leaders.

Our online sessions help children with alopecia connect, have fun, and feel supported by others who understand what they’re going through. Meeting others with alopecia can make a huge difference — helping children feel less alone, reducing anxiety and building confidence.

About the Role

As part of our rota of leaders, you’ll take turns organising and running an online activity session for children aged 7-12. Sessions run one Thursday every 6–8 weeks, from 6–7pm, and each has a different theme - from games and crafts to scavenger hunts and creative challenges.

You’ll never be on your own - our other leaders are always there to help with planning, ideas and support during the session.

Time Commitment

Approximately 2–3 hours every 6–8 weeks, including time to prepare and lead your session.

Location

Remote – all sessions are delivered online.

We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:

  • Upbeat, energetic and confident – a positive role model for the children attending
  • Reliable and organised
  • A good communicator and team player
  • Has some experience engaging with children and/or young people
  • Confident in the use of technology and using Zoom

If you’re enthusiastic, creative, and passionate about helping children have fun and feel supported, we’d love to hear from you.
