When I experienced my first patch of alopecia areata at the age of 19, I had no idea that one day, some 47 years later, I would lose every hair on my body. Needless to say it has been a big shock and a steep learning curve, but having resources available from Alopecia UK, both on the website and more recently at an in-person support group, has been invaluable.

Alopecia UK is a small charity working to improve the lives of those affected by alopecia. The charity has aims around Support, Awareness and Research.

Alopecia UK relies on the support of fundraisers and donors to continue the fantastic work it does.

Thank you for supporting me with my fundraising efforts. I really appreciate your support and so does Alopecia UK!

Update: I am overwhelmed by your collective generosity - thank you so very much 🙏
I will have to post a picture of myself on Walk Day, proudly wearing my Alopecia UK T-shirt and hopefully sporting a bald head! (Weather permitting…!) Wendy Halford
