Alopecia affects the daily life of many women and men which effects mental and physical health. In the last year my mum has been diagnosed with alopecia universalis so as my mum would say she’s lost all her hair from her head to toe. My mum has shown her strength from going from her lowest to her strongest again, which has only happened due to herself , friends and family. Something which has not been easy.
Hair loss of any sort for anyone is life changing for long or short term. It effects all ages and seems to have a mind of its own!

I am not a natural runner, but have decided to tackle the great south run. I want to raise awareness and share knowledge on the autoimmune disease.

Alopecia UK is a small charity working to improve the lives of those affected by alopecia. The charity has aims around Support, Awareness and Research.

Thank you for supporting me with my fundraising efforts. I really appreciate your support and so does Alopecia UK! Bronwyn Baker
