3 months ago our beautiful, loving and caring 8 years old daughter Angelica-Mae was diagnosed with Alopecia Totalis (AT) which is a rare condition, this was a shock to us all as it came with no advance warning or symptoms. She had lost the majority of her hair within 3 days and shortly after that she also started to lose her eyebrows and eyelashes too and this is still ongoing until now. Alopecia is an autoimmune condition, it happens when the immune system attacks the hair follicles, causing the hair to fall out in clumps, unfortunately there is no cure for this kind of disease yet and the cause of it is unknown. It has been really hard on us knowing and witnessing this happening to her at such a very young age, knowing that there is nothing that we can do or say to make it go away. The only thing that we can do is being there and supporting her as much as we can physically, mentally and emotionally. As parents we both feel helpless, but one thing that we can do is to try to raise awareness and help by raising money for Alopecia UK. We hope that one day science/scientists will find a cure to help her as well as all the other people in the UK and around the world who are suffering from this type of disease. Anything you are able to give will help this charity to continue the amazing work that it does. Many thanks for all your help and support and God Bless you all.

Kind Regards,
April & Tony
