We have a network of over twenty-five adult support groups across the UK providing regular meet ups for peer support.  All of our groups are run by volunteers, typically someone who has alopecia of some form themselves.  Group Leads organise, set up, co-ordinate and deliver meetings.  This will involve finding and booking venues as well as managing an AUK inbox where they will respond to enquiries and send out communications to their group distribution list.  On the actual meeting day they will welcome everyone and help to facilitate chat amongst the group attendees.

In 2020 we've had 26 local peer support groups which involved 27 group leads.  Average attendance at a group meeting is between 6 and 15 attendees, usually a mix of regular and first-time attendees.
