July seems to have gone in a flash and August is now upon us. We look back at a few things that have made us smile this month...

Following a successful visit to the British Association of Dermatologists' Annual Meeting in Edinburgh, we were delighted to see so many charity leaflets and new children's story booklets be posted out to clinics across the UK (Naomi pictured with the many parcels taken to the Post Office!)

The football...yes, we had started to believe it was coming home!

We set a date for a 'Get Together' in London on Saturday 29th September, to mark the end of Alopecia Awareness Month. The Alopecia UK team will be there and we hope lots of you will join us! Tickets are available here.

The weather...ok, it's been VERY hot but if that's not an excuse to eat lots of ice lollies, well we don't know what is! We've also been selling lots of our popular Alopecia UK tube scarves (a much cooler option in this hot weather).

Receiving our first application for our new 'Research Pots' Grant Scheme. Exciting for us be getting more involved in research by offering funding for projects. The closing date for applications is Monday 20th August.

These quirky and fun greetings cards that we're now selling in our online store - very apt for those with alopecia! The slogan reads 'Lost My Hair, Kept My Cool'. We were sent one of these cards to the office and it made us smile so we thought we'd stock them! Visit our shop

Feeling so lucky to benefit from repeat fundraising for the 3rd year thanks to the continued support of Chris Goddard of Goddard Self Storage. Chris has supported Alopecia UK for the past three years with his annual charity golf day and the £2,000 raised this year brings his grand total to £6,000 raised for Alopecia UK since 2016. Thanks Chris! And thank you to our lovely volunteer Amanda for attending the dinner and picking up our cheque.

Thanks July for providing us with lots to smile about! We look forward to what August has in store!
