Bethany Hills, a 3rd year Psychology and Education Studies student at Bishop Grosseteste University, is recruiting 5-10 parents or guardians whose child has been diagnosed with alopecia who are involved with Alopecia UK (attending support groups or charity events, accessing our resources).

The aim of the study is to gain an understanding on how getting involved with a support charity can affect the child and the family’s mental health. This could help us understand the effects that support charities have on people.

Participating in this study will involve completing an online survey (the patient information sheet can be found here).

If you are a parent or guardian of a child who has been diagnosed with any form of alopecia and would like to take part in this study, please complete the survey here

If you have any questions taking part in this study, please contact Bethany’s supervisor: Thomasin Nicholds. This project forms a part of Bethany’s degree studies and has been approved by Bishop Grosseteste University’s Psychology Ethics Committee.
