After three years with Alopecia UK, Kelly Young is leaving the charity to continue her career and education.

Kelly said:

"I love everything about Alopecia UK – I don’t know how else to say it. The whole of our alopecia community from our supporters, volunteers, trustees and staff members makes Alopecia UK such a great charity to work for. We all feel like an extended family and it’s that closeness that I will really miss.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for making my time at Alopecia UK so incredibly special.

Whilst it’s the right time for me to continue on and take new adventures in my life, I won’t be far away. Alopecia UK has, and always will have, a special place in my heart, and I’m looking forward to being on the other side of things as a volunteer! So, see you all soon!"

Alopecia UK CEO Sue Schilling adds:

"Kelly has made a huge impact at Alopecia UK and especially our volunteers who she has trained, nurtured, supported, and thanked in her beautifully kind way.  But, perhaps her superpower over the last 3 years has been her agility and grace in flexing her roles to meet the needs of the charity throughout the pandemic and as we reinvigorated face-to-face groups.  Thank you, Kelly, you will be missed!"

Kelly's last day with the charity is Tuesday 13th December. We are currently interviewing for a new Volunteer Manager and hope to welcome a new team member into the role in the New Year.
