Alopecia UK has developed new support and advice resources for men which are now available on the our website.

The resources include our new short film – 'Men’s Chat', blogs by men, styling tips (including tips on brows, micropigmentation and  alternative hair options), information around the psychological impact of hair loss and advice on improving health and wellbeing.

Kerry Montgomery, Alopecia UK’s Psychological Wellbeing Lead, said:

At Alopecia UK we have wanted to create resources for men for a long time because we know that men are under-represented and we want to make sure support is readily available to everyone. To get it right, we asked men what they wanted us to be doing and worked with men affected by alopecia to create the content. It has been challenging to find men to help us create the resources as many have told us they find it hard to talk about their alopecia or that they don’t want others to know how they are feeling. We really want to work to break down this stigma which is part of what makes alopecia and any distress much more difficult to deal with. We want to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to everyone who has been involved in developing the new resources”.

We hope that the resources are helpful to those looking for advice and support with their hair loss.

We will continue to add to our Men’s Resources and if there is anything you would like to see please get in touch with [email protected].
