Kelly's #AUK15for15 Challenge!

So, there has been a real buzz within the AUK team to take on new personal challenges for 2020. As Alopecia UK is turning 15 (where has the time gone?) we wanted to celebrate, and take time to achieve our own goals and dreams.

Now, my family and friends will tell you that I am not one to stick to New Year's resolutions, in fact, I'm terrible at it; however, Alopecia UK has always been there for me when I needed support and these fundraising challenges will help us both grow into the future.

It's fair to say that 2019 was a real mixed bag for me, so I picked each of these challenges to help build on my own health and happiness. Let's face it- most of us don't commit to the small daily activities that can make a huge difference.

Each member of the AUK team is taking on different challenges, in a different way for different reasons but our aim is the same. We love Alopecia UK and want to be able to help more people over the next 15 years. We want to raise £15k this year. Can you help us get there?

Kelly's 15 1-month challenges for 15 years of Alopecia UK

1. Walk or exercising for 30 minutes every day

2. Keep a daily gratitude/ mood journal

3. Give one compliment or act of kindness per day

4. 15 minutes of DuoLingo German per day

5. Read at least 15 pages of a book per day

6. Read one alopecia-related article per day

7. Spend 15 minutes writing down the positives that happened that day

8. No cheese for 30 days- the horror!

9. Buying no new items of clothing

10. No alcohol

11. 15 minutes of mindfulness each day

12. Drink at least 6 glasses of water every day. At the moment I'm 90% English breakfast tea!

13. Listen to one science/alopecia/anthropology-related podcast or Ted Talk

14. Talk to one new person every day

15. Visit 5 new places in the UK or abroad

While each of these challenges will only be for one month, I hope to carry on as many of them as possible. Although, one month without cheese already feels like too long! :)

Thank you for reading my fundraising page; your support means the world to me.
