I have suffered from alopecia (hair loss) for many years, from the age of 12 years old. It first stared as small bald patches on my head which would grow back, but I now have Alopecia Universalis therefore I have no hair on my head or anywhere. I have always wanted to raise money for Alopecia research as I have found it hard not knowing the specific cause of it and therefore not having a treatment. It is also something not many people know about and so to raise awareness for it would be a great thing to do.

Myself and my friend Bobs will be running 5K each everyday in June to raise awareness for the psychological impact Alopecia has had on my life in the past few years. We would love to donate as much as possible to research into the causes as they are still unknown but effect so many people.

Alopecia UK is a small charity working to improve the lives of those affected by alopecia. The charity has aims around Support, Awareness and Research.

Alopecia UK relies on the support of fundraisers and donors to continue the fantastic work it does.

Thank you for supporting me with my fundraising efforts. I really appreciate your support and so does Alopecia UK! Maisie MacDonald
