Children & Young People Resources Local groups Events Videos Shop News & Events Events Pottery Painting at Clay Cottage (Rayleigh) Children with alopecia and their families can join us for a trip to the Clay Cottage for an afternoon of pottery painting! This event is suitable for children with alopecia ages up to the age of 12.If your child is over the age of 12 and would be interested in attending please get in touch with [email protected] to discuss further. Meet-up Details Upon arrival children will be able to pick an item they wish to paint, there will be animals, mugs, bowls/plates, trinket boxes and more to choose from. Alongside this, there will be other crafts to keep everyone busy! Parents will need to stay (and support if needed!) and there will be refreshments provided. We'll also be providing a buffet of party food (for the children) and a chocolate fountain served with strawberries, donuts and marshmallows! If any children have any severe allergies or specific dietary requirements you are welcome to bring your own snacks along. At the end of the session your items will need to be left at the venue to dry and be fired. We will collect your address for postage when you register and these will be posted directly to you. There is free parking on site. Booking Details This is a FREE ticketed event, so please register your attendance using the ticket information below. Those not registered ahead of the event will not be able to attend as we must submit numbers ahead of the event.Registration for this event will close on Friday 5th of January at 9.00 am. If you are no longer able to attend, please let us know so that we can plan for the correct number of attendees. Terms and Conditions All tickets must include at least one child with alopecia and at least one parent /guardian. Parents/ guardians are required to supervise their children at all times. Children must be accompanied by someone aged 18 or over. We may capture some photos at this event, as part of your booking you will be asked for your consent. I became an Alopecia UK support group leader in 2018 when I started the first Essex support group for children with alopecia and their families. I signed up to help with these sessional events to ensure even more opportunities for families to meet up in our local area! We can now share our knowledge and support, and learn more from all the others that we meet on this journey."
