We say goodbye to our Trustee Jeanette

Jeanette Oliver has recently stepped down as a Trustee, after nearly 5 years on the Board.

Her term as Trustee started in June 2013 and we threw Jeanette in at the deep-end very early on in her role, with her taking on the role of Treasurer too.  She looked after the charity's finances with great diligence and care and helped to produce 4 years of final accounts. During her time in the role, as the charity's income has steadily increased, Alopecia UK's finance function became a much bigger task.

Jeanette herself played a big part in the charity's income receiving a huge boost in 2015/16 when she was part of a team of ladies with alopecia who beat the BBC's Eggheads to win £29,000, which was very kindly donated to Alopecia UK; the single biggest donation ever received by the charity.

During her time at the charity, Jeanette participated in our Liverpool Flashmob in 2013 and our first Alton Towers and Big Weekend events, both in 2014.

Jeanette will be missed by all at Alopecia UK but we hope she will continue to stay in touch and possibly see her at events in the future.

Thank you Jeanette!
