Calling all men with hair loss - research survey now open! Alopecia UK and our friends Nick Sharratt and Fabio Zucchelli, from the Centre for Appearance Research (CAR), have been awarded funding from the Vocational Training Charitable Trust Foundation (VTCTF) to explore where no researcher has explored before: men’s experience of hair loss...well, very few researchers anyway, and not for decades! This gives us all a great opportunity to understand more about what it’s like to be a man with hair loss (of any kind, including but not limited to Alopecia Areata and Androgenetic Alopecia aka Male Pattern Baldness). And crucially, how Alopecia UK can best offer help and information for men with hair loss. We will be reviewing the services we offer for men in response to your feedback so you can help shape what Alopecia UK looks like in the future for you. We’re excited to announce that the survey is now open! You can take part if you’re a UK-based man aged 16+ who’s experienced any form of hair loss. That’s it! No other criteria. We’re looking for the whole range of experiences, so whatever it’s been like for you, we’re interested to know. The survey should take 20-30 minutes. It has been vetted by men with hair loss to be usable and not too boring, which totally went against Nick and Fabio’s training as researchers! But it’s hopefully better as a result!
