We are looking to recruit two new Trustees to join our Trustee Board. Our Trustee Board is an incredibly important part of Alopecia UK, ensuring that the Charity pursues its stated objects by developing and agreeing a long term strategy and ensuring the work that gets delivered is in line with that.

If you are passionate about improving the lives of people affected by alopecia and how that should look please consider applying.  You can help shape the direction of the charity and speak up to help address any gap areas.

If you have a good strategic vision, independent judgement, work well within a team, have good communication and the ability to listen but also speak out and challenge where necessary, then we’d love to hear from you.

We are also interested in hearing from people who may have charity sector experience, legal background (compliance, data protection, HR etc), fundraising experience, digital leadership skills or medical/clinical background.

Further we are also keen to create a diverse board.  We would be especially interested to hear from people with the relevant experience, skills and knowledge base who could also represent views in relation to the impact of culture and ethnicity in relation to alopecia, males with alopecia and types of alopecia other than areata/totalis/universalis.  We would also be keen to have geographical representation from Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales as well as that of a parent of a child or young person with alopecia.

Not asking for much are we!  The ultimate criteria is having a passion for improving the lives of those with alopecia.  Everything else is a bonus so if this is a position that would interest you, please do submit an application!
