Are you feeling fit and energetic? What do you mean, no?!

Well do you think you could be by September/October?! Alopecia UK has five places in both the Great North Run and Great South Run and we need 10 wonderful people to use these places to raise funds and awareness for Alopecia UK.

More about the events

The Great North Run is the World's biggest half marathon with participants running between Newcastle Upon Tyne and South Shields. The run takes place on Sunday 8th September. In 2018, Mo Farah became the first person to win the event five times consecutively.

The Great South Run is an annual 10 mile road running race, taking place in Portsmouth and providing runners with an intermediate distance between 10k and half marathon. The event takes place on Sunday 20th October.

What do I need to do to run for Alopecia UK?

If you would like to participate in one of these events to raise funds and awareness for Alopecia UK, all you need to do is contribute a £20 donation (to help Alopecia UK with the cost of purchasing these charity places) and commit to raising at least £300 for Alopecia UK. In return, we will provide an Alopecia UK running vest and support in setting up an online fundraising page. We'll also give any extra advice you might need to hit your target...although, be warned, advice on running we cannot help with. Our Fundraising Manager Amy is still stalling on downloading the 'Couch to 5k' app to her phone...

If you would like an Alopecia UK running place in either the Great North Run or Great South Run in 2019, please email [email protected] to register your interest.
