FAQs Why is the Leeds Support Group hosting this event? Understanding the types of products that are available for people with alopecia can be incredibly useful. Roadshow events have been held in London and Dundee, bringing together businesses and those with alopecia in a relaxed environment. This event is being hosted and organised by the Leeds Support Group leaders, Amy and Naomi, with additional help on the day from other North of England support group leader volunteers. How have the suppliers been selected? We have initially approached Northern suppliers based on group member suggestions, local knowledge and those on Alopecia UK's Service Directory. We are still filling some exhibitor places with further business names to be announced. However, it is important to note that there is limited space and so unfortunately not all suppliers will be able to have representation at this event. Please note, suppliers who do attend the event are not endorsed by Alopecia UK - this event is being set up for information sharing and support purposes only. Who can attend? Anyone affected by any type of alopecia. Children under 17 must be accompanied by someone over 18. Can I bring family members/friends with me? Yes of course! However, as we would like this event to be enjoyed by as many people with alopecia as possible, please limit this to one or two (if adults) or two or three (if children). You will need a ticket for each person regardless of whether they have alopecia or not. Is this event suitable for children with alopecia? The Roadshow is marketed towards adults however some suppliers may have child friendly products. Older children/teenagers are welcome and may benefit from the event just by meeting and seeing lots of others with alopecia. Please note, there will be no organised activities for children. Do you do refunds? Refunds are available until Friday 15th March 2019. After this date no refunds will be given. Will I receive a ticket in the post? No. No physical tickets will be issued for this event. You will just provide your name to the volunteer on the door :-) What are my transport/parking options? St George’s Centre is situated at the bottom of Great George Street, next to the Leeds General Infirmary and opposite Firehouse Fitness Health Club beside the footbridge. Car parking is available at The Light, the St Johns Centre and the Merrion Centre. These are all within 5-8 minutes walk to St George’s Centre. For those coming into the city on weekdays and Saturdays by train, the St George’s Centre is two minutes walk from a bus stop served by the city centre circular bus route which stops at Leeds City Station, Town Hall, and Leeds City College. Alternatively, the venue is approximately a 10-15 minute walk from Leeds City Station. How can I contact the organiser with any questions? Please feel free to contact Amy Johnson and Naomi Hall on [email protected] with any questions or queries about this event. Sorry, this event is now sold out.
