Late last year, my mam was diagnosed with scarring alopecia. In support of her, I am raising money by shaving my head.
I have had Alopecia since I was 5 years old
My cousin Katrina has Alopecia and I wanted to raise money to support this charity and donate my hair to be made into a wig for children who suffer from hair loss.
My aim is to raise funds for Alopecia UK to raise awareness of the condition and also help with funding into research.

My 3 year old son started losing his hair at just 6 months old and when he was just 1 he was diagnosed with Alopecia Totalis which means he will not grow hair anywhere.

I’m running the Hackney Half Marathon 2020 on May 17th! I want to use this opportunity to try and raise as much as I can for Alopecia UK. There is no known cure for alopecia and Alopecia UK provide much needed support, awareness and research.
It’s a huge milestone for Alopecia UK next year, although I’ve only been with the charity for a year in 2020, I have supported AUK for much longer and been lucky enough to see the amazing work the charity does. As a staff team we have so many ideas about how we can grow bigger and better and in 2020 we are all taking on some personal challenges to mark 15 years of Alopecia UK.
