    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.alopeciaonline.org.uk/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=4084">kellyxkirkx</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> Starting to feel better..<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 04/September/2010 at 10:04pm<br /><br />I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who everyone on here....everything that is wrote is so intresting to read and ive had so much excellent feed back from everyone.<DIV>My daughter had alopecia&nbsp;&nbsp;back when she was 7 it was about 60% loss....times were very hard&nbsp;but as you do we adapted well,she was at a good school and had excellent friends....in yr 5 it all grow back and she was so happy to be doing what all other girls her age where doing......yr 6 came to an end and i thought wow my baby is off to sencondary school with hair.....this is something i always worried about as older kids can be horrid at times.</DIV><DIV>Secondary school started off great......we get to easter and find a patch...then day by day more and more and within 2 weeks the whole lot had gone.....no time to come to terms with it.....just left in shock as to what to do or where to go......this time round has been heartbreaking my baby is so devestated.....ive struggled on a daily basis......things really cant get any worse......so thats our motto now.....The worst has happened!!!....onwards and upwards!!!.....so really i just wanted to say a massive thank you xx</DIV>]]>

Some LAs will issue a prescription for these but you still have to pay about £200 for the prescription.&nbsp; The hair has been treated and the colour will fade quite quickly but it can be coloured again. </DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Vacuum wigs eg Freedom&nbsp;are made with untreated european hair which is the best quality I have seen. They take longer, about 6 months. They are similar in price to the dermalite made with european hair.&nbsp;</DIV>]]>

I posted on a friend's Manics forum (a small group of pretty close friends we mostly were) when I first started to get completely frustrated and depressed about ali-p, and a friend retaliated with this line. It was the only reply. I laughed.<br><br>The verse goes:<br>"Baby what you done to your hair?<br>Or is it just the same time of year,<br>when you think that you don't really care?<br>Now baby what have you done to your hair?"<br><br>It's still my hair loss song.<br>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.alopeciaonline.org.uk/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=3902">hair-we-go</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> New Member here.<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 04/September/2010 at 2:26pm<br /><br />Hi Pudding - my patches were like yours at first (mostly on the top, then started in fringe area) and I used a product called Couvre - a tube of 'paint' which you sort of dab on the bare/nearly bare areas of your scalp with a sponge (or your fingers) - it was brilliant at disguising the bald patches, and is waterproof too.&nbsp; It comes in a range of colours, though I'd opt for one&nbsp;darker than you think you may need (I'm blonde, but a medium brown worked best for me), and I think it's about £15 - but&nbsp;a little goes a long long way. <DIV>Good luck,</DIV><DIV>Sue</DIV><DIV>x&nbsp; </DIV><DIV></DIV>]]>
